The map displays proposed Sites of Community Importance which were included on the National List of SCIs of the Czech Republic published in a Govermental Decree Nr. 132/2005. There are 863 SCIs on the National List. The Decree also describes the process of establishing Natura 2000 in the Czech Republic and lists the objectives of protection of the Natura 2000 sites (natural habitats and species).
